Masonry Contractor:  Rattee & Kett
Architect: Purcell Miller Tritton Elliptical cantilevered staircase with twisted soffit modelled in 3D.  This enabled Stewart Design to accurately produce the many templates required for working this type of stonework directly from the CAD model.  It also enabled us to produce views from any angle desired in order to see details such as the junction of the soffit with the wall and the moulded details

Stewart Design were asked by APS Masonry to produce the setting out information with full working drawings and manufacturing information for this substantial staircase and asociated landings for this property in the centre of London.
This exercise was particularly challenging due to the fact that the staircase was elliptical on plan and each of the five flights were of a differing overall height, with a twisted soffit on all flights.
